Magic: the Gathering is a collectable card game created by Richard Garfield and produced and sold by the Washington-based game company Wizards of the Coast. In this game, two players assume the role of powerful wizards engaged in a magical duel for control of a fantasy world. In order to achieve this goal, the players use their spells, summoned creatures, artifacts, and land (represented by the cards) to drive their opponent's life point total from twenty to zero. The first player to do this wins the duel. Although it sounds easy, each player must construct his or her own customized deck for play choosing from the thousands of different cards currently available. Thus, the possible strategies are almost literally endless. To find out more about this incredibly popular game, check out the links below.
