Mighty Jack

Mighty Jack!

A song by Ryan Graff

Sung to the tune of Loreena McKinnitt's "Standing Stones"

In ancient times, there lived a man,
They called him Mighty Jack.
He lived for peace, he fought for truth,
The villains he did whack.
He fought against some evil men
With really evil plans.
He beat them all and saved the day,
Thus proving he's the man.

His brothers were abducted by
An evil squad of goons.
He rode off to their rescue by
The light of the full moon.
He joined the fray at break of day
With a savage battle cry.
And as he stood in victory,
Gold coins fell from the sky.

He picked up one too many coins,
Which almost brought his doom.
A voice said, "You are greedy;
You must go to torture room."
And there he was assaulted by
A swarm of giant bees.
But Might Jack destroyed them all
With nonchalance and ease.

Mighty Jack is a badass guy.
Mighty Jack is so cool.
Mighty Jack is a badass guy.
Mighty Jack ain't no fool.

And then he fought the villain,
Who laughed, "Har har har har har."
I don't know what he looked like
'Cause I never got that far.
Both men faced each other and
They rushed to the attack.
And only one man walked away
And that man was Mighty Jack.

His legend still lives on today;
They say he's still around.
He friends he will look after
And his enemies he'll pound.
Whenever you need rescuing,
He will come to your aid.
By jumping twelve feet in the air
And throwing hand grenades.
